After months of waiting, Samsung has finally started the stable rollout of One UI 8.5. The update is now live for its 2025 flagships in Korea, including the Galaxy S25 series, Fold 7, and Flip 7. The company has now confirmed that a broader global expansion will follow starting May 11. It also shared a list of devices scheduled to pick up One UI 8.5 in the initial phase.

As expected, Samsung is taking a phased approach. While the company hasn’t published a complete list of eligible devices yet, it has confirmed the models included in the first phase of the rollout. It prioritises the One UI 8.5 rollout for the following models:

  • Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, S25 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE
  • Galaxy Z TriFold
  • Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6
  • Galaxy Tab S11, Tab S11 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S10+, Tab S10 Ultra

All devices in this first wave are set to receive the complete One UI 8.5 experience. That includes the latest refinements in system performance, visual polish, and a suite of new Galaxy AI features that debuted with the Galaxy S26 series. Select older models may miss out on some features, but the core experience should remain unaffected.

Additionally, Samsung has confirmed the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A15, Galaxy A16, Galaxy A17, Galaxy A25, Galaxy A26, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A36, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A55, and Galaxy A56. Unlike flagships, these budget and mid-range models won’t get advanced AI tools and camera enhancements.

Besides the listed models, One UI 8.5 should roll out to a bunch of Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, Galaxy A, Galaxy M, and Galaxy F series smartphones. The update should also reach many other Samsung tablets, as well as Xcover series rugged products. The Korean firm is expected to complete the rollout by the end of June.
