Samsung has officially started rolling out the One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series. Alongside a host of new features, this update brings a UI overhaul and animation upgrades. One UI Home, the native launcher app for Galaxy devices, expectedly received a new update too, delivering smoother navigation.
Samsung rolls out One UI 7’s updated launcher app
One UI Home handles the navigation tools for launching apps and widgets on Galaxy phones and tablets. With every major One UI update, Samsung rolls out a new version of this app, enhancing the overall navigation experience. The One UI 7 beta update introduces version 16.0.00.183 of the app for the Galaxy S24 series.
Of course, the new version is exclusive to beta participants. It should be automatically updated upon installing One UI 7 beta. However, the APK file for the updated One UI Home app is available to download through third-party stores. We don’t recommend installing it on your Galaxy phone unless you are running One UI 7 beta. But if you have a test phone, you may want to give it a go and see how it improves your navigation experience.
Samsung is expected to release One UI 7 beta for more Galaxy devices in the coming days. Currently, it is available for the Galaxy S24 series in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK and the US. Well, Samsung has announced the update in these six countries but hasn’t rolled it out in some regions, including the US.
Once available for your phone in your country, you will see a One UI 7 beta banner in the Samsung Members app. Tap this banner and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration and receive the beta update. The first beta build is incredibly stable, with further improvements expected in subsequent releases. Stay tuned for more updates.
