Samsung recently announced plans to release the stable One UI 7 update on April 7. However, the big update may not be available in all markets on day one. It looks like Galaxy users in the US will have to wait just a little bit longer for it.
One UI 7 will arrive in the US a few days later
Samsung’s official press release said One UI 7 will be available for the Galaxy S24 series starting on April 7. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will quickly follow suit, with the update gradually expanding to other eligible models. While Samsung America corroborated that timeline for global markets, it shared a slightly different schedule for the US.
According to the company, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 will receive One UI 7 in the US starting on April 10. This suggests the original April 7 release would be limited to South Korea and select other markets. Galaxy users stateside must wait a few more days to receive the big update. The wait will surely be longer for users with older models like the Galaxy S23.
This staggered rollout isn’t new for Samsung. In fact, the company’s official press release clearly states that the availability of One UI 7 may vary by market. Nonetheless, it’s always frustrating for those eager to experience the latest features as soon as possible. With One UI 7 focusing on a redesigned user experience, AI-powered interactions, and enhanced personalization, the wait feels even longer for those not at the front of the line.
If history is any indication, it could take several weeks — or even months — for the update to reach all eligible Galaxy devices worldwide. Until then, many users will have to watch from the sidelines as early adopters get their hands on the latest software improvements. Stay tuned for more information.
