Samsung’s One UI 7 update is now widely available for the Galaxy S24 series in the US and Canada. Both carrier-locked and unlocked variants of the 2024 flagships are receiving the big Android 15 update. This follows a wide rollout in Europe and Korea earlier this week. The rest of the world should get One UI 7 starting next week.

As promised, Samsung began the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series in the US on April 10. After initially covering beta users, the company gradually expanded the update to non-beta users with an unlocked unit. The update is now also available for carrier-locked Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra across several networks in the US, including T-Mobile and Verizon.

Additionally, One UI 7 is now rolling out widely to the Galaxy S24 trio in Canada. The update introduces the firmware version BYCG — it’s BYCH for both carrier-locked and unlocked units in the US. Regardless of the build version, the devices are getting massive OTA files weighing over 5GB. After all, One UI 7 is a huge update to Samsung’s custom Android software.

One UI 7 brings a refined user experience with subtle design tweaks, improved performance, and smarter AI features. You get smoother animations, enhanced customization, improved security, and more enhancements aimed at refining the everyday smartphone experience. Some advanced tools are limited to flagship models like the Galaxy S24 and S25.

Samsung will soon release the One UI 7 update for more Galaxy devices. The company has dozens of smartphones and tablets lined up for the big update. The rollout is expected to be completed by June, and Samsung may immediately follow up with One UI 8 in July, introducing Android 16 to the Galaxy family. Exciting times are ahead for Galaxy users worldwide.
