Samsung has finally started rolling out its long-awaited stable One UI 7 in several countries, including the US. The update is currently available for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6, with more devices to follow later this month. However, it did not bring the Galaxy S25โs extended battery information feature to these devices in all regions, leaving users disappointed. Thatโs not surprising, though, as this feature remains limited to select markets even for the Galaxy S25 series.
The extended battery information feature is still missing for the US and India
One UI 7โs extended battery information is a handy feature as it displays insights like battery health percentage, cycle count, manufacturing date, and first use date. But it is still unclear why Samsung is not bringing that useful feature globally. While this feature is reportedly available in select European countries, it is not yet available in major markets like the US and India.
With the February security update, the company expanded its availability to several Galaxy S25 users, hinting that the global rollout may happen soon. But it is still not available in the US and India, even after the recent April security update for the Galaxy S25 series. So, we can only wait and see if Samsung brings the extended battery information feature to the missing markets in future software updates. You can check if the feature is available on your device by heading over to the Settings > Battery > Battery information.
While some Galaxy devices lack battery information, Samsung has improved battery and charging features with One UI 7. The Power Saving Mode now has more options, allowing you to adjust settings even while it is on. It lets you choose a maximum charge limit between 80% and 95%. Charging animations are now shown in better spots, like the bottom of the lock screen, Always On Display, or the status bar, so it does not disturb the screen.
