One UI 7.0 Beta Expands to More Markets Soon, Second Update on the Way

by | Dec 11, 2024 | News, One UI

After months of delays, Samsung finally released One UI 7.0 beta last week. It might now quickly follow up with a second beta build. Recent developments suggest the company will roll out a new beta update for the Galaxy S24 series as early as this Thursday, December 12.

Samsung might release a new One UI 7.0 beta update this week

The One UI 7.0 beta update is currently available for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra in the US, UK, Germany, South Korea, and China. Samsung has also confirmed plans to roll out beta programs in India and Poland. A few days back, a report suggested that the latter two markets could get One UI 7.0 beta on December 12. Samsung Support for India has now confirmed it.

According to a customer support representative, the Galaxy S24 series is set to receive the beta update on December 12. Poland is likely to join the party on the same day, or soon afterward. However, this isn’t the end of the story. Samsung is also likely to drop a second beta update for users in the other five countries.

Typically, Samsung expands its major One UI beta programs to India when rolling out the second public beta build in other markets. In fact, Indian users often receive the second build as their first beta update. If the company follows the same pattern this time, beta users in the US, UK, Germany, South Korea, and China could receive the new update later this week.

While the first One UI 7.0 beta is a major update, the second release should be smaller in scale. It will likely focus on bug fixes and improving platform stability. Not that the first release is unstable, but there is room for improvement. We’ll keep you updated as more information about the upcoming release becomes available.
