While this week has almost passed without Samsung rolling out a new One UI 7.0 beta update, the coming week might have something in store. Rumors are floating about Beta 3 potentially dropping early next week. However, there’s still no official word on the expansion of beta programs to other devices beyond the Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung could release One UI 7.0 Beta 3 before the end of the year
Samsung has so far released two One UI 7.0 beta updates for the Galaxy S24 series. Users are now eagerly waiting for Beta 3. There have been rumors about the third update arriving this week, but that didn’t happen. Unsurprisingly, Samsung’s official community forums are full of user queries about the next beta release.
Community moderators occasionally respond to these questions. Recently, a One UI 7.0 beta moderator on the Samsung India community forum revealed that the “second beta update” for the Galaxy S24 series is “expected” before the end of 2024. Since India joined the beta party in the second wave alongside Poland, this update will be Beta 3 for users in the US, the UK, Germany, and South Korea.
If true, Samsung could release One UI 7.0 Beta 3 early next week, possibly on Monday. It’s wise to keep expectations in check, though. In a separate development, a Samsung US beta moderator said that the status of Beta 3 will be announced “once the software is available.” This suggests the company is still working on the update. We won’t be surprised if the new release is delayed until 2025.
That said, Samsung shouldn’t make users wait until the second week of January. It is expected to roll out at least two more beta builds before the stable version arrives with the Galaxy S25 series.
