Galaxy users worldwide are eagerly waiting for Samsung to release One UI 7.0 beta. Rumors suggest the beta program may not open until mid-December. In the meantime, the company is rapidly rolling out the November security patch to eligible models. The Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A33 recently received the latest security update.
Samsung updates the Galaxy A34 and A33 to the November security patch
Over the past four weeks, Samsung has updated dozens of smartphones and tablets to the November security patch, aka security maintenance release (SMR). This update brings over 50 security fixes, most of which are high-severity issues affecting various system services. Some patches are specific to Galaxy devices, while most others also apply to Android devices from other brands.
The Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A33 recently joined the November SMR party, SamMobile confirms. These mid-range smartphones are receiving the latest security fixes in Europe. The new firmware build numbers are A346BXXU9CXK1 and A336BXXSCEXK1. It looks like the Galaxy A34 is picking up system stability improvements alongside the security fixes.
Samsung should soon release the November security patch for both models globally. However, since these devices are scheduled to receive new security updates once every three months or so, we won’t be surprised if it skips the latest release in some markets and rolls out the December patch sometime next month. It has done so in the past.
As far as the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update is concerned, both the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A33 are eligible for it. Samsung will begin the rollout in January or February next year, though these models may not receive the update until a few months later. Neither is likely to get One UI 7.0 beta, which could open for the Galaxy S24 series next month. Watch this space for more about Samsung’s upcoming One UI update.
