As the launch of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 and 8 Classic draws closer, we are seeing the first titbits of the upcoming Samsung’s next wearable software update, One UI 8 Watch. As you may have guessed already, Samsung is skipping over One UI Watch 6.5 and 7 and jumping straight to One UI 8 Watch. That’s perhaps a nod to aligning with their broader ecosystem or simply a fresh new direction. One might even say it’s… over the horizon.

New UI sounds coming with One UI 8 Watch

One of the more noticeable updates in One UI 8 Watch is the introduction of new system sounds. Leaked @DevOfIpos on X recently shared early previews of these updated audio cues, including ringtones, notification sounds, and interaction effects. You can listen to the revamped sound suite in action.

You will notice some familiarity, yet they sound new and refreshing. They’re very similar to what’s on One UI 7 on phones and tablets, but slightly higher pitched. (One UI Watch sounds are usually higher pitched, so nothing new.) The charging start, charging stop and battery low sounds are almost exactly the same as on the larger devices. Other sounds like Lock and Unlock remain unchanged thus far.

These small updates might seem minor, but they hint at broader refinements across the user experience. And with Samsung still keeping most features under wraps, there’s plenty more to be uncovered in the weeks ahead. As always, stay tuned to SammyGuru for the latest news, leaks, and analysis as we continue to track everything Galaxy.
