Leaked Galaxy Tab S10+ and Ultra Specs Reveal Minimal Changes

by | Sep 10, 2024 | Galaxy Tab, News

Samsung is gearing up to refresh its flagship Android tablet lineup next month. The company has the Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra in the pipeline, both expected to arrive in October. A major leak just broke their key specs and features. We also have new renders detailing their design — the tablets look identical to their predecessors, so there’s not much to talk about. Well, the specs remain largely unchanged too. Let’s take a closer look.

Galaxy Tab S10 series specs revealed in new leak

The folks at Android Headlines recently published a bunch of renders showing the Galaxy Tab S10+ and S10 Ultra from various angles and in Platinum Silver and Moonstone Gray colors. The renders reveal a familiar design. Samsung seems to have decided to not try fixing something that isn’t broken. The Galaxy Tab S9 series sports a likable and thoughtful design and the firm doesn’t want to tweak anything.

Coming to the specs, Samsung is once again playing safe with tried and tested specs. The Galaxy Tab S9+ and S9 Ultra are powerful high-end tablets and their successors aim to emulate them, so much so that the dimensions remain unchanged too. The Plus model measures 185.4 x 285.4 x 5.6mm, while the Ultra measures 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.4mm. The thickness has been reduced negligibly from 5.7mm and 5.5mm respectively, and that’s it.

With the same shape and size, the new tablets pack the same screens and batteries. We are talking about 12.4-inch and 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panels with Galaxy S24-like anti-reflective properties and 120Hz refresh rate. The tablets support S pen input and sport enhanced Armor Aluminum frame with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Expect an Aluminum back plate and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front.

Unchanged cameras and batteries

The Galaxy Tab S10+ packs a 10,090mAh battery, while the Ultra has an 11,200mAh battery. These battery capacities are unchanged from the Tab S9 series. A regulatory certification previously revealed that the charging speed will also remain unchanged at 45W. Samsung isn’t even upgrading the cameras. Both tablets have a 13MP main camera and an 8MP ultrawide camera on the back, arranged vertically in the top left corner.

On the front, the Plus model features a 12MP selfie camera. Like the 2023 model, the Ultra has a second front-facing camera, a 12MP ultrawide unit. Samsung allegedly plans to ship the Galaxy Tab S10+ with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage options. The Ultra may be available in two RAM variants (12GB and 16GB) with up to 1TB storage options. Yeah, you get it! The RAM and storage configurations are also unchanged from last year.

So, what exactly has changed? It appears the Tab S10 Ultra adds Wi-Fi 7 support (the Plus model remains on Wi-Fi 6E, sadly). The tablets also get a MediaTek chipset, the Dimensity 9300+, instead of Snapdragon. That’s all the latest leaks tell us. Samsung seems to have reduced the weight a bit, with the Tab S10+ said to weigh 571 grams (Wi-Fi) and 576 grams (5G). The Ultra weighs 718 grams and 723 grams, respectively. Stay tuned for the official launch.
