Samsung may not increase Galaxy S25 prices globally, leak hints
German publication WinFuture reportedly obtained pricing details for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra from a European retailer. The data suggests the devices will be priced the same as their predecessors in Sweden and other Northern European countries. The base Galaxy S25 with 128GB of storage is expected to start at €899 in these markets. Its 256GB version should cost €959.
Likewise, the Galaxy S25+ might retail for €1,149 (256GB) and €1,269 (512GB). The Galaxy S25 Ultra might set you back by €1,449 (256GB), €1,569 (512GB), and €1,809 (1TB). This is despite a potential RAM upgrade for the base and Ultra models. Rumors suggest Samsung will offer 16GB of RAM on the 512GB and 1TB storage variants of the Ultra. All other units could boast 12GB of RAM.
Unfortunately, users in some regions may face higher prices for the upcoming Galaxy flagships. Reports from Korean media indicate a price hike in Samsung’s home country, with similar speculation about a higher starting price in the US. At least the Ultra model could see a price increase, if not the entire lineup. The hike is reportedly due to rising manufacturing costs.
The Galaxy S25 series should go official in late January. Leaks have hinted at a January 22, 2025, launch in San Francisco, USA. Samsung will likely ship the devices with One UI 7.1, introducing new Galaxy AI tools and more features.
