It’s official! Samsung has just dropped the details for Galaxy Unpacked 2025. Putting all those rumors about a San Francisco venue to rest, the company confirmed the event will go down in San Jose, California, on January 22. The action kicks off at 1 p.m. EST / 10 a.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. IST. Here’s how you can watch the Galaxy Unpacked from the comfort of your couch, plus everything you should expect.

How to watch the Galaxy Unpacked 2025

Galaxy Unpacked is just around the corner, so it’s time to mark your calendar and set a reminder. You can watch the Galaxy Unpacked event on Samsung.com, Samsung Newsroom, and its YouTube channel. Be sure to tune in about 15 minutes early so you don’t miss any of the action. Grab your popcorn and settle in for a show. And just to clear up any confusion, Samsung holds two Galaxy Unpacked events a year: one in January and another in the summer. The January event brings new Galaxy S phones, while the summer unpacks new foldables,

What to expect during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025

So, what can we expect from Galaxy Unpacked? While the spotlight will definitely be on the Galaxy S25 series, there’s likely to be more up Samsung’s sleeve. Let’s take a quick dive into what could be in store for us at the event.

Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra

Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked in San Jose. We’ll be on the ground to keep you in the loop with all the exciting updates surrounding the event.

The star of the show will undoubtedly be the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but its younger siblings — Galaxy S25+ and S25 — won’t be far behind. All three models are expected to pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC under the hood. Before they hit the shelves, be sure to check out our rumor roundups for the S25 Ultra, S25+, and S25. And if you’re feeling eager, you can also get a jump on pre-reservations. There are some sweet perks for early birds, including a free premium wallpaper pack from our friends at Inspira Casus. This is in addition to our Mystery Box program.

One UI 7 AOD

One UI 7

You probably saw this one coming, right? One UI 7 will make its official debut in stable form at Galaxy Unpacked. The upcoming Galaxy S25 series will come with One UI 7.0 (or possibly One UI 7.1) right out of the box. We’ve been using One UI 7.0 beta for over a month now, ever since it hit the first beta and started rolling out. In that time, we’ve uncovered a bunch of exciting new features that are headed our way.

One UI 7 brings some solid upgrades, starting with the Now Bar on the lock screen, which gives you quick access to apps without having to unlock your phone. Galaxy AI also steps up, smartly organizing your apps and personalizing notifications. On the privacy front, the Personal Data Engine adds extra layers of security with stronger encryption. There are also new writing tools and call transcription features. You should expect even more surprises during the event. In the meantime, we’ve put together everything that’s new in the One UI 7.0 beta.

Galaxy Ring 2

There are rumors swirling that Samsung could reveal the Galaxy Ring 2 at Galaxy Unpacked, though we can’t say for sure if that’s true just yet. However, one thing we do know for certain is that Samsung will most likely expand the Galaxy Ring lineup with two new sizes.

So if the current Galaxy Ring feels a bit too snug for you, you’ll definitely want to check out the upcoming 14 and 15 Galaxy Ring sizes.

Samsung Galaxy XR

Android XR

So, what could be Samsung’s answer to the Apple Vision Pro? Well, the special guest at Galaxy Unpacked might just be Samsung’s much-talked-about Project Moohan — or what some are calling their Android XR device. It doesn’t have an official name yet, but could it be the Galaxy XR or Galaxy Switch? We’re not sure, so for now, let’s stick with calling it the Android XR to avoid adding fuel to the rumor fire.

What we do know is that it’ll pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR+ Gen 2 chip and run on the Android XR operating system, developed by Google. So yes, this is a collaborative effort between three heavy hitters: Google, Qualcomm, and Samsung. And if you’re wondering, “Moohan” means infinity in Korean, so it’s got some pretty ambitious vibes behind it.

Galaxy S25 Slim?

While the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra will undoubtedly steal the spotlight at Galaxy Unpacked, there’s also a chance we could get a glimpse of the Galaxy S25 Slim. However, don’t expect it to be available for purchase right after the event. As the rumors have suggested, it might hit the shelves a little later on. Still, we’ll get our first look at it during the Galaxy Unpacked, so be sure to stay tuned.
