Samsung recently released the third One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, introducing several new features. The 2024 foldable lineup picked up Audio Eraser, Gemini shortcut in the power button, and more AI features from the Galaxy S25 series. It appears to be the last beta update for the duo, with the table release already confirmed for April 7.
Audio Eraser is now available for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 users
Audio Eraser is one of the many new AI features Samsung introduced with One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25. It lets you filter out unwanted noise from videos. A few days ago, it confirmed plans to roll out this feature to the Galaxy S24 and more, though the Galaxy S23 series seemingly misses out. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 are the first the pick up Audio Eraser after the Galaxy S25.
One UI 7 Beta 3 for these two foldables also added the ability to replace Bixby with Google Gemini on the power button. In fact, Gemini is the default digital assistant available when you press and hold the power button, another change introduced with the Galaxy S25 series. Other Galaxy devices will also receive this update with One UI 7.
Additionally, Beta 3 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 improves Drawing Assist, aka Sketch to Image. You get the new version from the Galaxy S25 series, featuring a matching strength slider and other functional enhancements. This update also adds call recording transcriptions, AI web page summaries, and natural language search in settings.
Samsung is also expected to release a new beta update for the Galaxy S24 and S23 series soon. The Galaxy Tab S10 series may also get one, and so do the Galaxy A55. As mentioned above, Samsung will begin the One UI 7 rollout on April 7. However, the update doesn’t arrive in the US until April 10 — April 14 for some other regions. Stay tuned for more information.
