Samsung is on a spree collecting regulatory approvals for its upcoming products. We recently saw the company obtain various certifications for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Galaxy S25 Edge, Galaxy Tab S10 FE, Galaxy Xcover 8 Pro, and more. Add the Galaxy Z Flip FE to this ever-growing list, as the Fan Edition foldable has bagged the 3C certification in China, revealing its charging speed.

Galaxy Z Flip FE certified with 25W charging, the same as its siblings

The China Compulsory Certification (CCC or 3C) is one of the many regulatory agencies where new phones stop before their official launch. The Fold 7 and Flip 7 recently obtained the 3C certification, and it’s now the Galaxy Z Flip FE’s turn. The device appeared with the model number SM-F7610, which is its Chinese version.

The agency tested the phone with Samsung’s EP-TA800 charger rated to deliver a maximum power output of 25W (9V/2.77A). This is the same charger that 3C used to test the Fold 7 and Flip 7. While it isn’t necessarily indicative of the phone’s charging speed, that’s the case more often than not. It appears the Galaxy Z Flip FE and its siblings will be limited to 25W charging.

That said, Samsung’s newly launched mid-range phones, the Galaxy A56 and A36, support 45W charging, the same as the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It makes no sense for the company to offer a slower charging speed on the upcoming foldables. Hopefully, the Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip FE will also support faster charging speeds of up to 45W.

These foldables are expected to break cover in July, so expect more information in the coming months. There are rumors about Samsung potentially delaying the Flip FE until September or October, but nothing concrete yet. It picking up the 3C certification alongside the Fold 7 and Flip 7 suggests a July launch for all three. We will keep you posted as the story develops.
