While rumors suggest Samsung could launch the One UI 8 beta as early as next week, the company still has dozens of Galaxy smartphones and tablets awaiting the One UI 7 update. Earlier today, it released the new version for the Galaxy A54. Now, we can confirm that One UI 7 is rolling out to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. Samsung will continue expanding the update to more devices in the coming days.

Samsung climbs another step in the One UI 7 rollout with the Galaxy Tab S9 FE update

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ are picking up the One UI 7 update with the firmware build number CYE1. The OTA package weighs almost 3.6GB (thanks, @Alfaturk16!) and bundles Samsung’s April 2025 Android security patch. As of this writing, we only have information about its availability in Korea, but Samsung should soon release the update in other markets.

If you are using these mid-range Samsung tablets, One UI 7 should be available for you in the coming days. While the build version and update size may vary depending on the model and region, you’ll get the same changelog. This update brings a myriad of new features and enhancements, including new multitasking tools, smoother system animations, and AI-driven experiences across various apps.

You can always check for updates manually through the Settings app. Go to the Software update menu and tap on Download and install. Since updates are released in batches, users in some regions may have to wait longer than others. You may get a notification once the One UI 7 OTA release hits your Galaxy Tab S9 FE.

As far as One UI 8 is concerned, Samsung may release the first beta build for the Galaxy S25 series this month. A wide stable rollout isn’t expected until August, though the company could prove us wrong.
