Samsung is gearing up to launch its Galaxy Tab S10 series flagship Android tablets in the coming months. Rumors say the company will only offer two models this time. Compared with last year’s three Galaxy Tab S9 models, the smallest size (11-inch) gets the sack. While we wait for confirmation, the alleged Galaxy Tab S10+ has picked up another regulatory certification on its way to launch.
Galaxy Tab S10+ certified ahead of launch
Over the past couple of months, we have seen Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10+ (Model number SM-X826) and Tab S10 Ultra (SM-X828) in various online listings. Geekbench entries for the tablets revealed MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chipset with up to 12GB RAM and Android 14 globally. The company is reportedly preparing the devices in Gray and Silver colors, though it could add more color options after the launch.
South Korean regulatory agency Safety Korea recently certified the Galaxy Tab S10+, fueling rumors about its early launch. The agency listed two model variants for the device, SM-X826N and SM-X820. The former is the Korean 5G model while the latter is the Wi-Fi model. Samsung manufactured the tablet in its Vietnam factory. Safety Korea previously certified the battery packs for the Galaxy Tab S10 ultra.
As of this writing, the rest of the specs of Samsung’s upcoming flagship tablets are under wraps. However, with the launch date seemingly approaching — rumored to launch in October— we might soon come across major leaks revealing it all. The Korean behemoth has been poor at plugging leaks in recent years, so there’s little chance the Galaxy Tab S10 series will bypass the rumor mill and make its way onto the stage undetected.
A major strategy overhaul by Samsung
If all rumors turn out to be accurate, Samsung’s flagship tablet lineup will see a major strategy overhaul this year. Per the usual launch cycle, the Galaxy Tab S10 should have arrived alongside the Galaxy S25 next year, but the new tablets look set for an October launch. The Korean firm also switches to a MediaTek processor and might remove the base model. Time will tell if the strategy works. Stay tuned for more leaks and rumors.
