Samsung has showcased the potential of its latest Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera performance through a real-life activity. The company recently used its premium flagship to film and live-stream the 2026 Street League Skateboarding (SLS) DTLA Takeover in Los Angeles. This shows the firm’s smartphone technology is capable of supporting professional sports broadcasting.

Galaxy S26 Ultra revolutionizes the sports broadcasting experience

Samsung previously used its Galaxy S26 Ultra to livestream the presentation at Galaxy Unpacked 2026. Now the company is taking the same approach for the sports environment. At the Street League Skateboarding competition, the firm deployed Galaxy S26 Ultra directly above the ground of the game course, capturing the action in three dimensions. The phones were put on the stadium structures, such as rails, ledges, and gaps.

As a result, the Galaxy S26 Ultra was able to capture and live-stream details even from a distance. These include players’ aerial moves, kickflips, and landings. This helped connect fans more closely and create a more immersive sports broadcasting experience.

Samsung says that its Galaxy S26 Ultra offers a professional-grade shooting experience. The phone packs a host of advanced features, including 8K recording, improved image stabilization, and Nightography Video. Thanks to Super Steady with Horizontal Lock, you get a stable screen even with 360-degree rotation. Likewise, Instant Slow-mo helps replay key moments in slow motion, making it easier to capture dynamic action.

“Mobile innovation is opening up new possibilities for how sports are filmed and watched,” said Cho Seong-dae, Vice President and Head of the Visual Solutions Team at Samsung Electronics’ MX Business Division. Samsung plans to continue using the Galaxy S26 Ultra to power the future of sports broadcasting while looking at new directions.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is now available for purchase on the official US store with a $200 discount. This is the first deal since preorders ended, making it a more appealing option if you want advanced camera technology and professional-level video capabilities.
