The Galaxy S24 Ultra’s Bluetooth-enabled S Pen doesn’t restore Air Actions on the S25 Ultra. The new phone lacks the necessary software and hardware to support these features. The S Pen menu doesn’t have Air Actions, so older S Pens can’t utilize Bluetooth features, despite physically fitting into the device. Well, the S24 Ultra’s S Pen doesn’t entirely fit into the S25 Ultra but has an identical shape and length.
Moreover, the new phone lacks a mechanism to charge Bluetooth-enabled S Pens. A teardown did show a copper coil similar to a charging coil inside the S Pen dock. However, it appears to be just an NFC coil to detect whether the stylus is inside the phone or not.
While Air Actions don’t work, you can still use older S Pens for other functions on your Galaxy S25 Ultra. The phone lets you use an external S Pen without removing the built-in one from its silo.
