Samsung is rolling out the March update for the Galaxy 25 series in more markets. Released in South Korea last week, the latest security patch is now available in Europe and Asia, including India. The update should soon reach the Galaxy S25 Utra and its siblings in the US and the rest of the world.

Galaxy S25 gets its March update in more markets

Last week, the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra received the March security update in Samsung’s home country. The company has now released the update in other markets, as we have confirmation from India and several European countries. The new security patch in these regions comes with the firmware build number S93*BXXS1AYC2. It’s a different build than the one rolled out in Korea S93*NKSU1AYC3.

However, the changelog remains the same in all of these markets. This update brings nothing more than the security fixes detailed in Samsung’s March 2025 SMR (Security Maintenance Release) to the Galaxy S25 trio. There may be some additional bug fixes or stability enhancements, but no user-facing changes or new features.

Speaking of which, the Galaxy S25 series still lacks some new One UI 7 changes rolled out to the Galaxy S24 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 6, including media player support for Live Notifications in the status bar. Samsung may not push these changes to the new flagships until the official One UI 7 release next month. The update rolls out starting April 7, with Korean users getting it first.

As far as this month’s security patch is concerned, it addresses over 50 vulnerabilities. Samsung says 11 of those are critical Android OS flaws patched by Google. The rest include a handful of Galaxy vulnerabilities. Galaxy S25 users in the US and other regions can expect to receive this update soon. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to check for updates manually.
