We’re around two months away from the expected launch of the Galaxy S25 Ultra on January 22, 2025. At this point, we’ve seen a plethora of interesting leaks. From early renders revealing the new rounded design, to physical dummy units showing off the new build. Now, we have our first hands on video showcasing the Galaxy S25 Ultra in all its glory. It appears that the unit used in this video is an internal testing model given to Samsung Engineers. The design is consistent with all other leaks we’ve seen thus far. Around back, we get a look at the familiar camera module design, which isn’t a striking departure from the S24 Ultra. We do expect an upgraded ultra-wide sensor on the Galaxy S25 Ultra camera and perhaps a surprise primary sensor upgrade.
Overall, the biggest change is with the new rounded corners. Gone are the days of the sharp corners digging into your hands while holding your Ultra flagship. Samsung opted for a look that is functionally more elegant, but also more closely resembles the iPhone.
If you look carefully, you can also spot a few other interesting tidbits. The S25 Ultra has clearly thinner bezels than the S24 Ultra, but not by much. More importantly, we can see some symmetry in these bezels on all sides. As for the color, it would seem the device in this video is the rumored Titanium Gray color. The design aesthetic looks simple, clean, and worthy of a top-tier flagship moniker.
One UI 7.0 (or perhaps 7.1) is easy to spot thanks to the redesigned battery icon. We know that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely launch with One UI 7.1 when it finally goes on sale. It’s shaping up to the be total package, amazing hardware and fully redesigned software. We’re certainly looking forward to the S25 Ultra in 2025. Will you be picking one up at launch?
