With just about two months to go until the launch, Samsung has started gathering regulatory certifications for the Galaxy S25 series. All three models — the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra — have now passed through the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database. The S25+ and S25 Ultra were spotted over the weekend. Now, the S25 has joined, rounding out the trio. So, the countdown is officially on!
Samsung Galaxy S25 joins S25+ and S25 Ultra on India’s BIS database
As spotted by 91Mobiles, all three devices in the Galaxy S25 line have now received the necessary certification approvals from BIS. If rumors are to be believed, the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event could take place on January 23, 2025, in San Francisco, where the company will unveil the new flagship trio.
The standard Galaxy S25 carries the model number SM-S931B/DS on BIS, with “DS” indicating dual-SIM support. This model number corroborates with previous reports from the GSMA listing. Moreover, the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra carry model numbers SM-S936B and SM-S938B, respectively.
The launch is imminent
The sighting of the entire Galaxy S25 series confirms that the release is on track. Typically, such listings appear two to three months before the launch, aligning with the rumored date for Galaxy Unpacked.
Above all the anticipated updates in the Galaxy S25 series, the most exciting news is the inclusion of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset across all models and regions. This means Exynos will not be featured, even in select markets. Additionally, Samsung has revealed that the stable One UI 7 will launch alongside these phones before expanding to other models.
