Samsung’s long-awaited slim flagship, the Galaxy S25 Edge, may not remain under wraps for much longer. The phone has been widely rumored to debut in mid-April, with leaks pointing to an April 16 unveiling. Now, a new report says the device will go official on April 15. Either way, the Galaxy S25 Edge looks set for launch later this month.
Galaxy S25 Edge to launch in a couple of weeks
While leaks about the Galaxy S25 Edge date back to 2024, it wasn’t until January this year that we got our first visuals. Those came directly from Samsung as the company teased the product at its Unpacked event, confirming a dual rear camera system. It then showed off the device again at MWC 2025 in early March but didn’t reveal anything.
Amidst all this, rumors started circulating that the Galaxy S25 Edge will go official in April. Some industry insiders claimed Samsung will unveil the phone on April 16. This new report from Nieuwemobiel.nl says the device is set to arrive in Europe a day earlier, on April 15. It’s unclear which of these dates are accurate, or maybe both are.
If you recall, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 series on January 22 during its Unpacked event in the U.S. However, due to the time difference, it was already January 23 in South Korea, the company’s home country. The rumored April 15/April 16 launch date for the Galaxy S25 Edge could follow a similar pattern. We’ll have to wait for Samsung’s official announcement to confirm the exact timing.
Samsung could release the phone silently
There have also been rumors about Samsung quietly putting the Galaxy S25 Edge on sale sometime in April, so it isn’t entirely clear if this is the launch date we are looking at or the release date or both. The new report corroborates earlier leaks about the phone’s color and storage options. The slim flagship comes in Black, Blue, and Silver colors, with all shades being available in 256GB and 512GB of storage.
Additionally, Samsung has prepared at least two official cases for the Galaxy S25 Edge. There’s reportedly a Silicone case and a Kindsuit case, which are also available for other S25 models. Stick around for the S25 Edge’s official launch later this month.
