Just like last year, Samsung wrapped up Wednesday’s Unpacked with an exciting cliffhanger. The company teased a completely new product called the Galaxy S25 Edge. It appears to be none other than the long-rumored slim flagship, aka Galaxy S25 Slim. While Samsung didn’t show much during the livestream, newly surfaced images give us a glimpse of its sleek design — and it’s a stunner!
Galaxy S25 Edge design revealed in new images
After unveiling the Galaxy S24 series last year, Samsung had its “one more thing” moment when it officially teased the Galaxy Ring for the first time. The company did something similar during the Galaxy S25 Unpacked event a few hours ago. It teased the Galaxy S25 Edge, which should be its upcoming slim flagship we all have been referring to as the Galaxy S25 Slim.
Images of a supposed Galaxy S25 Edge prototype have since surfaced on X, revealing its design. Rumored to be just 6.4mm thick, the phone surely looks sleek and premium with a unique rear camera housing. It features a slight camera bump, while two sensors protrude significantly from it. Yes, it’s a surprise, but this Galaxy S25 Edge prototype only shows two rear cameras. It’s unclear if it’s the final design.
Earlier rumors hinted at a triple camera setup featuring a 200MP primary shooter, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. If Samsung offers only two cameras, it hopefully removes the ultrawide lens. Other rumored specs include a 6.7-inch flagship display, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, and a 3,900mAh battery.

With this design and spec set, the Galaxy S25 Edge is set to turn heads when it finally goes official, possibly in the second quarter. It might sit between the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra in the pecking order. The Plus has the model number SM-S936, the Edge has SM-S937 (if it indeed is the Slim), and the Ultra has SM-S938. Battery life may be a concern, but hey, you can’t have everything, can you? Stick around for more information
