We’re tracking the progress of the Galaxy S24 FE for a Fall 2024 release. Last month, we saw official press renders with various color options shown for the new device. The device also stopped by the FCC, revealing a nice set of specs for the upcoming mid-ranger. Now, we have a fresh set of live photos directly from the FCC, showcasing the phone in a real-world setting. Unfortunately, these are not close-up high resolutions snaps, so there isn’t much we can learn that isn’t already known. The picture shows the device with the screen off, from quite far away. It certainly looks like a Galaxy S series design, but that’s about the extent of things. Still, the live photos show more progress toward an imminent launch.
When is the S24 FE Arriving?
It seems likely that Samsung will unveil the S24 FE at an October event, alongside the Tab S10 series and new Galaxy XR headset. It’s possible that the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition could be unveiled at this event as well. While the S24 FE certainly won’t get all the hype in October, it is shaping up to be a solid option for a lot less money. The phone sports a 6.7-inch display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness. It has an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+ glass on the front and back. The cameras are unchanged from the S23 FE, but that’s not such a bad thing in this price segment.
