The company also released the new firmware to the Galaxy S24 series of smartphones a few days ago. Now, the South Korean tech giant has rolled out the October 2024 security update to the Galaxy S23 series of smartphones.
Galaxy S23 series users in the USA are getting the October 2024 security update
Samsung has rolled out the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in the US. The USA is the first market to get the latest security firmware for the Galaxy S23 series devices. The update is currently rolling out for the select carrier-locked units of these phones. However, the same firmware is expected to be available to other carriers and unlocked variants of the handsets in the coming days.
The build number of the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S23 is “S91xUSQS4CXI4”. The same for the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra is “S916USQS4CXI4” and “S918USQS4CXI4”, respectively. The new firmware is being rolled out over the air in a gradual manner. You can manually check if the update is available for your device by going to Settings > Software update & hit the Download and install option.
