Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36. Rumor has it that the Galaxy A56 and A36 will hit the market sometime in March, so we may be counting down the days. As expected, Samsung in France has already released the official repairability scores for both models.
Samsung is promising 6 years of software upgrades with the Galaxy A16. While the company has yet to make a similar announcement for the Galaxy A56 and A36, itโs looking likely. But what really keeps a phone ticking for the long haul? Itโs not just the software. But the hardware, of course. In France, repairability scores are legally required, so the higher the score, the easier it is to fix the device if things go awry.
Galaxy A56โs repairability score is slightly lower than the predecessor
The upcoming Galaxy A56 scores 8.4 on the repairability chart, just 0.1 points lower than its predecessor (via GalaxyClub). That 0.1 difference may seem small, but it means some components are a tad trickier to replace compared to the Galaxy A55. As for the Galaxy A36, its repairability score is in line with the previous model, the A35.
A few key specs have surfaced for the Galaxy A56, including support for 45W wired charging, as revealed through several certification listings. It will run One UI 7 right out of the box. Most likely, with the promise of six years of updates, it could eventually receive One UI 13. The A56 is also expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1080ร2340 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Galaxy A56 will reportedly boast a triple-camera setup on the rear: a 50MP wide lens, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro. On the front, thereโs a 12MP wide lens for selfies and video calls. Rumor has it that it could be the first A-series phone to support Galaxy AI features.
