A few days ago, reliable leaker Evan Blass shared high-resolution renders of the Samsung Galaxy A56, a premium mid-range phone expected to launch in March. Now, he has revealed renders of the Galaxy A36, which is set to debut alongside it. The images showcase the design and official colors ahead of launch.
Galaxy A36 renders surface online, confirm four colors
Samsung is readying the Galaxy A36 in four colors: black, green, purple, and white. As usual, the company will use fancy names for these shades, possibly with the prefix “Awesome.” The overall design is identical to the Galaxy A56, but the A36 lacks a metallic frame — see how its frame is missing antenna lines. For the uninitiated, a metallic body may interfere with radio signals, hence it contains these non-conductive polycarbonate lines. Otherwise, the Galaxy A36 sports the same Key Island button design, a floating rear camera bump with three sensors, flat edges, curved corners, and a punch-hole display.
Previous leaks have revealed that the Galaxy S36 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, likely paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM options. The phone will run Android 15-based One UI 7.0, though it may miss out on AI features. Samsung recently filed a trademark for “Awesome Intelligence,” hinting at AI features for the Galaxy A lineup. However, only the Galaxy A56 might support it, if at all.
Other rumors include a new selfie camera, with Samsung upgrading to a 12MP sensor. The Galaxy A36 may also support 45W wired charging, almost double the Galaxy A35’s 25W limit. The Korean firm finally seems to be increasing the charging speed of its phones, as the A55 also looks set for 45W speeds. With the official launch expected next month, more leaks should surface soon.
