Galaxy A17 4G Picks Up One UI 8.5 Stable Update

Samsung is rolling out the Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5 stable update to a bunch of Galaxy devices lately. The latest device to get the One UI 8.5 stable update is Samsung’s budget Galaxy A17 4G.

One UI 8.5 stable update rolls out to Galaxy A17 4G, but only in Korea for now

Yesterday, Samsung began rolling out the One UI 8.5 update to the Galaxy A17 5G variant. Now, the same update is coming to the Galaxy A17 4G, though it’s currently limited to its home turf, Korea. Other regions should follow soon, likely in the coming days or weeks.

The build version in question is A175NKSU5CZE9. If you have a Galaxy A17 4G in Korea, you can install the update right away, as it brings a bunch of changes. Before you begin the installation (steps below), make sure your phone has sufficient charge and is connected to a stable network.

To install the update, head to Settings > Software update. When the update appears, tap Download and install. Once the file is downloaded, tap Install now. The installation process will take some time, after which your Galaxy A17 4G will boot up running the latest software.
