Samsung users have been waiting for the major One UI 7.0 beta update for a while now. The company has delayed the new feature-loaded firmware so many times so far. However, the brand will finally launch the One UI 7.0 update in December. Do note that the update will only be available in the beta version, before a wider stable rollout with the Galaxy S25 series in early January.
The first official One UI 7.0 teaser was released at the Samsung Developer Conference last week. Since then, the users have been a little skeptical if the beta update will be only available for developers or not. However, worry not, because Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 7.0 beta update will be available for both the developers and regular users.
Samsung confirms the availability of the One UI 7.0 beta update for regular users too
Samsung has finally silenced the rumors. A moderator on Samsung’s community forums has confirmed that everyone will get access to the One UI 7.0 beta program. This is hardly surprising as the beta programs are offered to both the developers and other users. However, since the brand only confirmed the update for developers at SDC24, it was fair for them to be a little concerned.
It’s worth mentioning that Samsung may not offer the One UI 7.0 beta update to both devs and regular users at the same time. The company could first offer it to the developers before taking applications from regular users at some later point. We already know that Samsung will not roll out the stable update of the new firmware before the Galaxy S25 series. That said, we are quite sure that Samsung users will be happy to hear this news.
Samsung already revealed more One UI 7 update changes before the beta release
Notably, Samsung has already showcased more One UI 7 update changes before the beta release in December. The One UI 7 version is expected to breathe new life into the brand’s custom Android UI. The new firmware will bring a redesigned Quick Panel and notifications shade, apart from a more minimalistic interface. Samsung has also redesigned the icons for most of its in-house applications.
Furthermore, the new update will also provide icons for the bottom navigation buttons in the Gallery app. These will be for Pictures, Albums, Stories, and Menu. Also, there will be changes to the Phone, Clock, and Wallet apps.
