After a slow start, One UI 7 floodgates might have finally opened. Over the past few hours, Samsung has released the big Android 15 update for multiple Galaxy devices in South Korea, with the Galaxy Tab S9 series being the latest addition. A global rollout should begin in the coming days.

Galaxy Tab S9 series gets the One UI 7 stable update

Earlier today, Samsung rolled out One UI 7 for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Tab S10 series, and Galaxy S24 FE in Korea. The Galaxy Tab S9 series has now joined the party. This follows a wider release of One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, Fold SE, and Flip 6, including in the US.

The Galaxy Tab S9, S9+, and S9 Ultra are picking up One UI 7 with the firmware build number CYD9. The OTA package weighs about 4.7GB, though it varies depending on the model and region. The update also includes the latest April 2025 security patch. Except for the Tab S10 series, which got the March patch, all other devices received this month’s security release with their One UI 7 updates.

The April patch contains fixes for over 60 vulnerabilities, a few of which are confirmed to be critical flaws. However, we are more interested in One UI 7 goodies. With this update, Galaxy Tab S9 users get a UI overhaul, improved multitasking, improved taskbar, and new AI-driven functions. One UI 7 also enhances the privacy and security of your tablet.

With the Korean release now done, Samsung should bring One UI 7 to the Galaxy S23, Tab S10, S24 FE, and Tab S9 in other markets soon. The company also has yet to roll out the update for the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, Fold SE, and Flip 6 beyond Korea, the US, Canada, and Europe. Hopefully, it won’t be a much longer wait now. We will keep you posted.
