The floodgates have finally opened. Samsung’s One UI 7 update is rolling out in the US, with the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 getting it simultaneously. Beta users are receiving the update first, but it’s just a matter of time before the update reaches non-beta users. A wider rollout for other eligible Galaxy devices begins later this month.
One UI 7 is rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the US
The One UI 7 update is rolling out with the firmware build version BYCK for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 — it is BYCG for the Galaxy S24 series. The update weighs around 500MB for beta participants, but users updating from One UI 6.1 or 6.1.1 will get an OTA package weighing 5GB or more. After all, One UI 7 contains a lot.
When we say that, we mean it. Based on Android 15, One UI 7 brings plenty to Galaxy devices, particularly flagship models like the Galaxy S24 and Fold 6. Alongside new AI tools and AI-driven experiences across various apps, you get a UI overhaul, new camera features, smoother animations, new customization options, and more. This update elevates your Galaxy experience.
Samsung began rolling out the stable One UI 7 update for these devices earlier this week. After an initial Korean release, the update reached Europe a few hours ago. The US versions of the Galaxy S24 and Fold 6 are now getting it. The update should be available for the 2024 flagships nationwide over the next couple of days, depending on the carrier and model.
To check for updates on your Galaxy, go to Settings, scroll down to the Software update menu, and then tap Download and install. Samsung says One UI 7 will be available for more Galaxy smartphones and tablets later this month, though a complete rollout will take until June.
