Samsung has released a new One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6. The foldables are picking up their second beta build on the same day the Galaxy S24 series received Beta 5. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Tab S10 series should also soon get Beta 2.
Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 get One UI 7.0 Beta 2
It has been an eventful month in Samsung’s One UI camp. The company began the month by announcing a major One UI 7.0 beta expansion. On March 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 received their first One UI 7.0 beta update. Samsung followed up with the first beta releases for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Tab S10 lineups. Today, it rolled out One UI 7.0 Beta 5 for the Galaxy S24 series, and then dropped Beta 2 for the Flip 6 and Fold 6.
The Flip model is picking up the new update with build version ZYC8, while it’s ZYC7 for the Fold model. The update focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements. Samsung fixed battery widget overlapping issue, screen stuttering problems, refresh rate errors, calendar widget issues, media icon issue in the status bar, NFC issues, cover screen glitches, and more.
Samsung is expected to roll out a similar update to the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Tab S10 lineups soon. The company has already announced plans to release the stable One UI 7.0 update in April. It’s unclear whether the company will push one more beta build or if it’s done with beta releases now. As mentioned above, Samsung released five beta updates for the Galaxy S24 series.
The Korean firm has also confirmed beta updates for the Galaxy A55 but has yet to release the first build. The mid-ranger should receive it in the coming days. As far as the stable build is concerned, the Galaxy S24 series should lead the line, followed by other beta-eligible models. Stay tuned for the official roadmap.
