The update also brings the latest, September 2024 security patch.

Galaxy S24 gets the long-awaited One UI 6.1.1-based update

The new One UI 6.1 update is currently rolling out to the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in Samsung’s homeland, South Korea. It’s a massive update weighing nearly 2.8GB for the Ultra model. The official changelog mentions all the expected AI features, including Sketch to Image. It lets you quickly turn rough sketches into proper drawings.

This One UI 6.1.1-based update also introduces a new image creation tool that generates unique image styles for your photo. Samsung keyboard gets an AI-powered writing assistant that helps you write paragraphs based on keywords or short sentences. Additionally, live call translation now works on third-party apps such as WhatsApp, Google Meet, and Kakao Talk.

The built-in translator in Samsung Internet can now translate text contained in images. The Galaxy S24 series is also getting improvements for the AI-powered Interpreter feature. On top of this, the update brings call-related improvements, an improved weather widget, enhanced security, and new Gallery features to improve your photo-viewing experience. You can see the AI-translated changelog below.

Rolling out with firmware version AXH7 (last four digits), the latest update for the Galaxy S24 trio also brings the September security patch with 67 vulnerability fixes. The big new update will soon be available for the flagship lineup in other markets before expanding to more devices. Some AI features may not be compatible with all models. We will keep you posted accordingly. You can also manually check for updates from the Settings app.
