Samsung seems to be kicking things into high gear with the next generation of its foldables, which will likely include the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Rumor has it, we might also see a Galaxy Z Flip FE and even a Galaxy tri-fold or “multi-fold” device—something that got a little sneak peek during January’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Right on track, the internal prototype of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 may have leaked with some promising specs.
Galaxy Z Fold 7’s “internal prototype” packs Snapdragon 8 Elite
According to @PandaFlashPro on X, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 could feature a triple-camera setup, including a 200MP + 12MP + 10MP configuration. This setup seems identical to the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (limited to select markets), assuming the 12MP refers to an ultrawide lens and the 10MP is a telephoto lens. The hinge mechanism might also see some tweaks, suggesting Samsung is working on refining the design further.
Under the hood, it could pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, which isn’t exactly a surprise. Samsung previously used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy in the Z Fold 6, and with the Snapdragon 8 Elite expected to power the entire Galaxy S25 series, this move seems like a no-brainer if all goes according to plan.
For durability, the device will reportedly stick with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back and an Armor Aluminum side frame. Additionally, it’s said to feature a larger vapor chamber cooling system for better heat management. Display improvements are also on the table. @PandaFlashPro hopefully illustrates what’s to expect.

On top of that, I’d love to see Samsung bump up the wired charging to 45W. That’ll be a significant upgrade over the predecessor’s 25W limit. What about you? What changes or upgrades would make you jump at the chance to grab the Galaxy Z Fold 7?
