Samsung’s One UI 7.0 Beta 3 appears close. While we do not have a confirmed release date, there are indications it could arrive this week. A trusted tipster recently fueled speculation by sharing details about key improvements in the third beta update, suggesting it is ready for public rollout. The second beta update arrived two weeks ago, so it’s about time too.
One UI 7.0 Beta 3 improves animations and system sound effects
According to Ice Universe, a seasoned Samsung leaker with a commendable track record, the third One UI 7.0 beta update introduces new sound effects for screen locking, unlocking, and charging. The company must have improved the system sounds to match the visual enhancements in the new version.
Additionally, Beta 3 makes the drop-down animation more “flexible”, which likely means enhanced smoothness. Animations have been one of the weaknesses of Samsung’s One UI skin. The company has addressed this to a great extent with the One UI 7.0 update. The first two beta builds have already brought tremendous improvements to system animations. The next release could refine them even further.
As far as the release date is concerned, there have been hints at Samsung dropping One UI 7.0 Beta 3 early this week. A community moderator recently suggested that the new beta build may be available for the Galaxy S24 series before the end of this year, though various factors could delay it. We will let you know as soon as we have more information.
Meanwhile, Samsung seemingly doesn’t plan to launch beta programs for other devices. With the stable release expected by the end of January, the company could now directly deliver the final build to the Galaxy S23 and other models. The Galaxy S25 series will ship with the new version before Samsung brings it to the rest. A wide rollout may not begin until sometime in February.
