Samsung may have taken longer than usual to launch the One UI 7 beta, but the wait for the second beta update could be much shorter. Rumors suggest the company may roll out another beta build for the Galaxy S24 series this week. It may also expand the beta program to additional markets.
The second One UI 7 beta might be just days away
On December 5, Samsung finally launched One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 series. The big update came with tons of changes, substantially improving the Galaxy experience. We are still exploring the new features and enhancements it brings to our Galaxy. It appears the company is already preparing to take things to the next level with a second beta build.
According to X user @tarunvats33, Samsung might drop the second update on December 10 or 12. The latter date seems more likely as it falls on a Thursday and marks a week since the first beta launch. A new update just five days after the initial release would be surprisingly quick for Samsung. We won’t completely rule out this possibility, though.
The next One UI 7 beta update is expected to bear the firmware build number ZXL2 or ZXL3 for the Galaxy S24 series. It may introduce a few new features and address bugs in the first build. We haven’t encountered many bugs in the original release but there might be a few quirky ones hidden somewhere.
The second release may also expand One UI 7 beta to more markets. While Samsung originally announced beta programs for the UK, the US, South Korea, Germany, Poland, and India, the update has yet to hit the latter two countries. It could come to these regions with the second build. Samsung may also launch One UI 7 beta in China around the same time. These are the only seven countries expected to receive beta programs.
