Here’s Another Proof of a Nearing One UI 6 Watch Rollout

by | Nov 8, 2024 | News, One UI, Samsung Apps, Updates

Samsung has been slower than usual with software updates for its devices lately. The One UI 7.0 update for phones and the One UI 6 Watch update for watches have taken longer than expected. Even security patches, especially for watches, have been delayed. However, the wait for One UI 6 Watch might end soon, as the company recently dropped another hint about its nearing release.

New Samsung Health update prepares Galaxy Watches for One UI 6 Watch

Samsung recently rolled out the stable One UI 6 Watch update to Galaxy Watch 6 users who participated in the beta program. Usually, the company brings the update to other users within a few days, but this hasn’t been the case this time around. It has been over two weeks and the update is yet to expand globally, with Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 4, and Watch FE users also looking forward to it.

There are some unconfirmed rumors that a global rollout of One UI 6 Watch will begin next week. Samsung might have dropped a major hint at this possibility. It recently released a huge update for the Samsung Health app for the entire Galaxy Watch lineup. The company also updated the smartphone app. The new version introduced new features from the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra to older models.

Since the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra run One UI 6 Watch out of the box, this update for Samsung Health indicates a nearing rollout of the latest One UI version for other eligible watches. Samsung may release the update within the next few days, possibly early next week. We will let you know when we have more information. Meanwhile, you can check for updates manually from the Settings app.

What new health features are in store for Galaxy Watch users?

One UI 6 Watch brings tons of goodies, including several new health features. You get a daily energy score showing your physical and mental readiness for the day’s chores. This score is evaluated based on your sleep and physical activity over the past day. A low energy score indicates you should take it easy and get some more rest if possible. Your watch offers AI-powered personalized insights to keep you motivated.

Samsung’s Galaxy AI also now helps your Galaxy Watch provide more detailed and accurate sleep analysis so you can make informed decisions. If you like to do some workouts daily, One UI 6 Watch allows you to create custom plans and routines by combining a series of different exercises. You can set targets for a personalized health goal and work towards it over time, at your own pace and comfort.

Additionally, One UI 6 Watch brings enhanced controls with new gestures and navigation improvements. You also get new system fonts, a UI overhaul, new media controls, and a lot more changes. Overall, this update massively uplifts your Galaxy Watch experience. Hopefully, Samsung won’t keep users waiting for much longer. Stick around for more about One UI 6 Watch and One UI 7.0, which may enter the beta stage later this month.
