A few days ago, Samsung released the stable One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series. However, the update was only available for beta testers. The company has yet to begin a wider rollout covering all Galaxy Watch 6, Watch 5, and Watch 4 users worldwide. We may not need to wait much longer though, as a global rollout appears close.
One UI 6 Watch update may be released globally soon
Samsung ran One UI 6 Watch beta programs for the Galaxy Watch 6, Watch 5, and Watch 4 lineups in the US and South Korea. After months of testing and numerous beta updates, the company finally started a public rollout last month. As usual, beta testers got the first dib on the stable version. We expected Samsung to begin a wider rollout soon, but not to be.
Nearly two weeks later, One UI 6 Watch has yet to reach all Galaxy Watch users globally. Thankfully, Samsung appears close to a global release of this update. Tipster @theonecid recently revealed that Candian Watch 6 units are scheduled to receive the update on November 12. Given that updates often roll out slightly later in Canada, users in other regions might get it early.
Galaxy Watch users in the US and Europe may receive One UI 6 Watch early next week, or even sooner. We will keep a close eye on the ongoing developments and let you know as soon as we have more information or when the rollout begins. Note that the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra come pre-installed with the new version based on Google’s Wear OS 5.
