Samsung Members App all but Confirms Galaxy Unpacked on July 22

Samsung has yet to officially announce the date of its next Galaxy Unpacked event, but the company may have dropped its biggest hint yet. A new promotion inside the Samsung Members app appears to point directly to July 22, the same date that has surfaced repeatedly in recent leaks. It also hints at new foldables and wearables debuting at the event.

Samsung Members voucher hints at July 22 launch of new Galaxy foldables and wearables

The promotion is currently live in Malaysia and offers users a RM 700 (roughly $170) voucher for Samsung’s “next foldable” and a RM 200 (roughly $50) voucher for its “next wearable” (h/t Android Authority). This pretty much confirms that the company is preparing to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Flip 8, as well as the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2.

Moreover, these vouchers become valid on July 22 through Samsung’s online store. Leaks have long pointed to a July 22 launch of the aforementioned products, and we may have a confirmation now. The devices are likely to be available for pre-orders immediately after launch, so users can redeem the vouchers on the same day.

This Samsung Members promotion also gives us an idea of when general sales of the new foldbales and wearables may begin. For purchases made at physical Samsung stores, the redemption window for the vouchers begins on August 11. If we are to make a calculated guess, the devices could reach retail shelves around August 7.

Of course, Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed any of this yet. However, the latest Samsung Members promotion is arguably the strongest indication so far that July 22 is indeed when the company plans to unveil its next generation of Galaxy devices. We will keep you posted.
