Massive Samsung Health Update Brings AI Insights, Vitals Tracking & Fresh Design

Samsung’s long-awaited Samsung Health overhaul for One UI 9 is finally here. Just as we thought, the company was waiting for the VivaTech 2026 presentation in Paris, where it showcased its vision for connected healthcare. The new update delivers a major redesign and smarter health insights powered by AI. It also brings a host of new features aimed at making wellness tracking more useful and actionable.
Samsung Health gets a massive redesign and AI-powered wellness features in One UI 9
The new Samsung Health experience introduces a significantly redesigned interface centered around five key categories: Activity, Sleep, Vitals, Mindfulness, and Nutrition. Each section is accessible from the home screen, making it easier for users to navigate different aspects of their health and wellness data. You can check out the updated UI in screenshots below.
Besides a visual upgrade, this update introduces several advanced wellness tools. Samsung Health now analyzes five overnight biometric signals, including heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen levels, to detect meaningful changes in a user’s condition. Heart Health Score, meanwhile, combines sleep, stress, activity, and body composition data to provide a clearer picture of long-term cardiovascular wellness.
For fitness enthusiasts, Daily Cardio Load tracks cardiovascular strain and recommends optimal workout intensity and recovery periods. Additionally, Fitness Index evaluates metrics such as heart rate, VO2 Max, and daily activity levels to deliver personalized goals. The update also enhances the Antioxidant Index with trend tracking and adds automatic AGEs monitoring. Last but not least, Hearing Health uses Galaxy Watch sensors to analyze environmental noise exposure and help protect users’ hearing.
Samsung says these features are designed to transform Samsung Health from a simple tracking app into a proactive wellness assistant. The update is now rolling out to Galaxy devices on One UI 9, which is currently in beta and limited to the Galaxy S26 series in select markets. Moreover, not all of the new features will be available to existing Galaxy Watch owners. Many will debut with Samsung’s next-gen watches, the Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2. These are expected to launch in late July.
