Samsung Brings New Health Features to Galaxy Watch

Samsung has announced that it will bring new health features to the Samsung Health app. The update will transform your smartwatch into an intelligent health partner. The company will first introduce the features on its upcoming Galaxy Watch models, expected to debut on July 22, 2026. Other eligible devices, such as the Galaxy Watch 8, will get them through future updates.
Samsung Health gets smarter with new wellness features
In recent years, Samsung has focused on integrating AI-based wellness insights into its health platform. This helps users better understand their physical and mental condition. Now, the company is taking this experience to the next level with new health features.
Speaking of Vitals, the feature comes in handy if you want to understand your body’s signals. It analyzes five signals during sleep, including heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen. When you wake up, it checks the readings against your true resting baseline. The system then sends alerts as soon as it detects unusual deviation.
Another key feature is Heart Health Score, which aims to help you maintain long-term wellness. It combines sleep, stress, activity, and body composition data and puts them into a single daily metric. This gives you clarity about your long-term heart health.
Samsung has also introduced Daily Cardio Load to offer smarter cardiovascular training. This feature measures daily load and maximum training capacity to recommend optimal training targets. It also suggests rest periods so you can reach your fitness goals without risking burnout or injury.
Thanks to the Fitness Index feature, you can track progress seamlessly. It analyzes metrics such as heart rate, VO2 max, and daily steps to offer a better fitness level. The feature also provides personalized goals and tailored content, so you can make continuous improvements.
Meanwhile, Samsung has also introduced a Hearing Health feature to help protect your ears. It monitors surrounding noise levels through the Galaxy Watch and provides personalized insights.
Furthermore, Samsung Health now brings a new layout so you can find proactive insights more easily. The company organized the app into five core pillars: Sleep, Activity, Nutrition, Mindfulness, and Vitals.
