Galaxy Z Flip 8, Fold 8, and Fold 8 Ultra Appear Side by Side in New Leak

Samsung is gearing up to unveil three foldable smartphones later this year, possibly next month. Ahead of that, fresh leaks may have given us one of the clearest size comparisons between the three models yet. Well-known leaker Ice Universe posted a couple of photos showing the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra side by side.

New leak compares the sizes of Samsung’s upcoming Flip 8, Fold 8, and Fold 8 Ultra

The first photo shows three panels arranged next to each other. They appear to be protective panels for the cover screens of the upcoming foldables. The Galaxy Z Flip 8’s screen protector even has cutouts for the two cameras and the LED flash unit.

The second image, meanwhile, shows the actual products, though these may be dummy units or prototypes rather than functional devices. Nonetheless, these leaks offer an interesting look at how Samsung’s upcoming foldable lineup could be positioned in terms of physical size.

Of course, we have already seen all three models in leaked renders, so their design isn’t particularly a mystery. The Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Fold 8 Ultra, which succeed last year’s Flip 7 and Fold 7, respectively, look identical to their predecessors. Samsung is simply refining the design rather than reinventing it. Expect slimmer bezels and other minor enhancements that add to the phone’s overall look.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8, on the other hand, is a completely fresh addition to the foldable lineup this year. It has a wider form factor, which is apparent in the image above. The cover screen is shorter than the Fold 8 Ultra, but noticeably wider. When unfolded, the screen width gets almost doubled, giving you a 7.6-inch display in a tablet-like 4:3 aspect ratio.
