Samsung is reportedly working on a new fitness tracker, the Galaxy Fit 4. The device could arrive later this year, succeeding the Fit 3 launched all the way back in February 2024. Its specs remain under wraps, so it’s unclear what upgrades we’ll see on the new model.
Galaxy Fit 4 may arrive alongside Samsung’s fall product lineup
The Galaxy Fit series has long served as Samsung’s budget-friendly alternative to the Galaxy Watch range, offering essential fitness and health tracking features at a significantly lower price point. Unlike watches, the company doesn’t refresh the Fit lineup annually. It’s been more than two years since the Fit 3’s launch, and we finally have some info about its successor.
According to a SamMobile report, Samsung is currently developing the Galaxy Fit 4 with plans to launch it in the second half of the year, potentially around September. The company could unveil it alongside other products expected this fall, including the Galaxy S26 FE and the Galaxy Tab S12 series.
The report doesn’t go into details about the Fit 4’s specifications or design, leaving everything to the imagination. Given the product’s positioning, there isn’t much room for Samsung to shake things up. If anything, the upcoming wearable could add built-in GPS for location tracking. The Galaxy Fit 3 currently relies on a connected smartphone to record route data during outdoor activities such as running or cycling.
If Samsung equips the Galaxy Fit 4 with integrated GPS, it could significantly improve workout tracking accuracy while making the device more useful as a standalone fitness companion. Such an upgrade would also help Samsung better compete with similarly priced fitness bands from rival brands.
Otherwise, the Fit 3 already delivers a capable fitness-tracking experience with features such as a large AMOLED display, heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, workout detection, accelerometer, and gyroscope sensors. It also offers impressive battery life thanks to its lightweight operating system. We’ll let you know when we have more information about the Galaxy Fit 4.
