Galaxy Ring is Available for Free with FSA or HSA Accounts

If you have an eligible FSA or HSA account, you can snag Samsung’s $399 Galaxy Ring at no cost. The company has announced that its first smart ring qualifies for reimbursement through Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA). However, it’s unclear whether previous purchases are also eligible or if the offer only applies to new purchases.

You can buy the Galaxy Ring with FSH or HSA funds

Launched in July, the Galaxy Ring is a comprehensive health-monitoring gadget. The tiny tech piece features an optical bio-active sensor, accelerometer, and temperature sensor, offering advanced health metrics in a compact size. It can track sleep, activities, heart rate, and other metrics to provide detailed health insights. Its Energy Score feature quantifies your physical readiness based on your health data.

Priced at $399, the Galaxy Ring works with Samsung and non-Samsung Android phones. You don’t necessarily have to pair it with a Galaxy device. It doesn’t have any subscription fee either. You get full access to all health features with a one-time purchase. Samsung promises a battery life of up to seven days, though it depends on the ring size (smaller sizes have smaller batteries) and other factors.

Speaking of the size, the Galaxy Ring comes in nine sizes (US sizes 5 to 13), with sizes 14 and 15 possibly on the way soon. Samsung offers a sizing kit if you aren’t sure about your ring size. Color options include Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. Overall, it’s a fairly powerful package offering non-intrusive health monitoring. You can grab the Galaxy Ring for free through an eligible FSA or HSA account.

This is thanks to the new Samsung initiative that allows you to classify the ring as a medical expense. You can purchase the wearable from Samsung.com. Make sure to check with your account provider about reimbursement terms. The new initiative is live starting Friday, October 4. Samsung hasn’t specified if earlier Galaxy Ring purchases will be eligible for a reimbursement.
