Samsung Rolls Out May Update for Galaxy S25 Series in More Regions

Samsung is continuing the global rollout of its May 2026 security update for the Galaxy S25 series, including the S25 Edge and S25 FE. After initially releasing the update in India earlier this week, the company has now expanded availability to Europe and Korea. The update should soon reach the US and other parts of the world, bringing the latest security improvements and stability fixes to more users.
Galaxy S25’s May 2026 update arrives in more markets
Samsung often releases new updates in its home market, South Korea, before expanding to other regions. The May 2026 security update for the Galaxy S25 series is a rare exception. The rollout began in India yesterday, and the update is finally reaching Korea today. The new security patch is also live for the entire S25 lineup in Europe. As usual, the update size and build version vary depending on the model, carrier, and region.
Note that this update is only available for the Galaxy S25, S5+, S25 Ultra, S25 FE, and S25 Edge running on One UI 8.5. Samsung recently updated the phones to the new version worldwide. If you haven’t installed it yet, go check for updates from Settings > Software update > Download and install. Users on One UI 8.5 can also follow the same steps to check if the new update is available for them yet.
One UI 8.5 brings a host of new features and improvements to your Galaxy. The latest update, meanwhile, focuses on security enhancements. The May 2026 patch fixes a total of 39 vulnerabilities affecting Android and Galaxy devices, including some critical ones.
Samsung is expected to continue expanding the May 2026 security patch to additional regions and Galaxy devices over the coming days, including more foldables, tablets, and mid-range phones. We will keep you posted accordingly.
