Samsung Unveils Two Odyssey G8 Monitors, One With 6K Resolution

Samsung is rolling out its latest Odyssey G8 gaming monitors for 2026, with a focus on resolution and speed. It’s bringing out two new Odyssey G8 models, including what it calls the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, alongside a 5K variant with ultra-high refresh rates.

The 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS) takes things up a notch with a 6K panel, packing in 224 pixels per inch for very sharp visuals. It can run at up to 165Hz at full resolution, and with Dual Mode, you can switch to 3K at up to 330Hz. That kind of flexibility works well whether you’re going for immersive gaming or something more competitive.
The 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF) is a bit more approachable, offering 5K resolution at up to 180Hz, or up to 360Hz in QHD with Dual Mode. Both monitors use IPS panels and come with DisplayPort 2.1, so there’s enough bandwidth to handle those high resolutions and refresh rates.
You also get AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync support for smoother gameplay, along with HDR10+ Gaming, which adjusts brightness and contrast in real time.
Samsung says the new Odyssey G8 models will be available soon as part of its 2026 lineup. You can sign up on Samsung’s website to receive a $50 credit and get early purchase offers when the devices go on sale.
