Samsung Shares Good Lock Compatibility Status for One UI 9

Samsung’s Good Lock apps interact so closely with system-level components that major One UI upgrades often break compatibility until the company updates the apps to support the new framework changes. The newly released One UI 9 Beta is no exception. Following the beta rollout last week, Samsung has now shared the current compatibility status of Good Lock modules on One UI 9.
Some popular Good Lock modules do not work on One UI 9
Good Lock apps unlock additional customization options on Galaxy devices. From animations and navigation gestures to the home screen, lock screen, quick panel, and more, you can customize almost every system element. This is possible because of deep integration with the core system frameworks.
When Samsung introduces a new One UI version, those underlying system components frequently change internally. As a result, some modules may stop functioning properly until they are updated to work with the new framework. This is especially common during beta programs, where Samsung is still actively modifying system behavior before the stable release arrives.
Shortly after Samsung released One UI 9 Beta for the Galaxy S26 series, the company revealed that many Good Lock modules do not work on the new version. While most of the apps are compatible, some popular ones are missing. According to Samsung, the following modules are currently unsupported on One UI 9.
- QuickStar
- LockStar
- ClockFace
- NavStar
- NotiStar
- Home Up
- MultiStar
- Game Booster+
Samsung also confirmed that the following modules currently work on One UI 9:
- One Hand Operation+
- Sound Assistant
- Keys Cafe
- Theme Park
- Wonderland
- Edge Lighting+
- Dropship
- Galaxy To Share
- Routines+
- Nice Catch
- Edge Touch
- Camera Assistant
- RegiStar
- Display Assistant
- Nice Shot
- Gallery Assistant
Samsung is working on enabling full Good Lock compatibility on One UI 9, though it may take a while to achieve that. One UI 9 is currently available in beta for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra in the US, the UK, South Korea, and Germany. The company may launch beta programs in India and Poland later this month.
