Samsung Rolls Out Another One UI 9 Beta Update for Galaxy S26

Days after rolling out the One UI 9 Beta program (Android 17) for the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung has dropped another update. It’s not Beta 2, but a hotfix release to patch a network issue. The latest build is currently available in the US, and it’s unclear if other regions will get it.
Samsung’s One UI 9 Beta 1 hotfix for Galaxy S26 addresses a network issue
Earlier this week, Samsung rolled out the first One UI 9 beta update for the Galaxy S26 series. Interested users in the US, the UK, Germany, and South Korea can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app and install the update. Now, Samsung has dropped a fresh release for US beta users. It’s a small release that fixes a critical flaw in the original beta build.
First spotted by Tarun Vats, this update comes with the firmware build version ZZEG and focuses on fixing mobile data issues. According to the changelog, the hotfix addresses a bug where mobile data was not functioning properly on certain carrier networks. Some beta users reportedly experienced situations where the cellular signal was available, but internet access through mobile data failed entirely.
It’s unclear if this issue only affects Galaxy S26 units on US carriers or if other regions are affected too. If not, this hotfix may not roll out in the UK, Germany, and South Korea. Samsung hasn’t released One UI 9 Beta in any other market. However, it plans to expand the beta program to India and Poland during the second wave (Beta 2) later this month.
Moreover, Samsung is expected to launch the beta for additional Galaxy devices in the coming weeks, possibly starting in June. The stable update may arrive around September, though Samsung’s new foldables may ship with One UI 9 in late July or early August.
