Galaxy Tab S12+ Moves Closer to Launch After Test Server Sighting

Samsung has a bunch of Galaxy devices in the pipeline, many of which have already been spotted on test servers. After it unveils the foldables this summer, the next big release will be its flagship tablets. In other words, the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, and the latter was recently spotted on a test server.

Now, the younger sibling, the Galaxy Tab S12+, has been spotted on the company’s test servers. Courtesy of SammyGuru contributor KeepUpwithOneUI, the Tab S12+ was spotted on test servers in India, Europe, Turkey, and more. The build version in question is X846BXXU0AZE5.
If anything, this development pushes it one step closer to launch, which should ideally happen in the fall. Not much is known about the upcoming tablets yet, for obvious reasons, one being that it’s still fairly early. Still, the battery variants the Galaxy Tab S12+ could ship with have already surfaced through persistent leaks.
The battery capacity has now come to light, with estimates pointing to a typical capacity of either 10,500mAh or 10,600mAh. Whichever turns out to be accurate, it would give the Galaxy Tab S12+ roughly 4% to 5% more battery than the Galaxy Tab S10+. It’s not a fair comparison with the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup, as those models don’t include a Plus variant.
Most likely, the Galaxy Tab S12+ will retain its 12.4-inch OLED panel with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it may feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9500+, as recent Samsung flagship tablets have leaned on high-end MediaTek chipsets. It’s expected to be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage in the base model. Other likely features include quad speakers, Dolby Atmos support, an IP68 rating, S Pen support, and 45W charging.
