Google’s Gemini Live AI assistant is now available to all Android users, including Galaxy users. First released for Gemini Advanced subscribers in August, the feature is now rolling out to free users globally. It currently only supports English but more languages are on the way.

Gemini Live is rolling out to Galaxy users globally

Introduced alongside the Pixel 9 series in mid-August, Gemini Live is an advanced AI assistant with richer conversational skills. It offers continuous conversations like a human, remembering interruptions and getting back to it later. If you interrupt the AI chatbot mid-conversation to dig deeper into a specific point, it will clarify your doubts before picking up the previous conversation from where it left off.

The new feature started rolling out to Galaxy devices immediately after launch, but in limited capacity. It gradually expanded to Gemini Advanced subscribers widely. A couple of weeks ago, users with a free Gemini account also started receiving Gemini Live. Google has now officially confirmed a global rollout of the advanced AI tool for all Android users. We have received it on multiple Galaxy devices in the US and India.

Google says Gemini Live will soon support more languages, letting users have fluent AI conversations in their native language. This expansion will follow “in the coming weeks.” You can already pick from ten different voices for the AI assistant. They offer various tones, accents, speeds, and styles, so everyone has something they like. Google might add more voices later as it expands Gemini Live to users globally.

Gemini Live will also roll out to iPhone users in the coming weeks. To use the AI tool on your phone, open the Gemini app and tap the waveform icon with a star in the bottom right corner of your screen. Google will let you select the default voice before starting conversations. You can always change your default voice from Settings.
